Sparkly accessory or sign of a major life change? Jennifer Lopez raised eyebrows in Paris on Tuesday when she flashed a huge diamond on her ring finger as she sat with her beau, Casper Smart, and her 4-year-old daughter, Emme, in the front row at the Chanel runway show. The cornea-searing rock immediately touched off yet another round of speculation that the not-quite-ex-Mrs. Marc Anthony, 43, had accepted a proposal from the 25-year-old backup dancer. J.Lo laughed off similar reports in June, insisting there was "no engagement." But with the couple celebrating their one-year anniversary, and their joined-at-the-hip status solidified with a whirlwind tour of the City of Light, could the matrimonial enthusiast be ready to take her fourth walk down the aisle? Apparently not just yet. Her rep assures Wonderwall that she "is not engaged." Word is, the diamonds, like everything J.Lo was sporting at the Chanel show, were provided by the design house. Still, that doesn't mean her romance with Smart, which supposedly hit a rough patch over the summer, has plateaued. "He's madly in love with her," a source recently told Us Weekly. "It's not just that she's his lover; she's also his best friend." And Lopez herself says she's open to giving the whole "until death" thing another shot. "I believe in love. You don't have to admit to reading "Fifty Shades of Grey," the erotica e-book that's been making women across the world a lot more interested in their Kindles and iPads. The explicitly sexy "Twilight for grown-ups" book is being downloaded -- frequently but discreetly -- by readers across the nation, placing it on both The New York Times and Amazon.com best-seller lists. It should be no surprise, then, that all this buzz got author E. L. James a movie deal. Already people are talking about who might play the leads in "Fifty Shades of Grey" the movie. Christian Grey The actor who scores this part would have to play a manipulative billionaire whose sexual tastes veer decidedly into NC-17 territory. But rather than come off as just a sex fiend bent on sadism and bondage, he'd also need to muster the charisma necessary to make viewers believe that he's a worthy object of desire. Should it be superhunk Zac Efron, who accidentally hinted at his sexy side with his "condom drop" moment last month? Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are calling it quits after being married for five years. The couple are also parents to a 6-year-old daughter, Suri. Jonathan Wolfe, Katie Holmes' attorney has confirmed the news, offering this statement to People magazine: "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest." Shortly after Katie Holmes announcement, Tom Cruise's rep told People, "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy." It has also been reported that Katie Holmes filed divorce documents in New York anonymously on June 28, but seeks sole custody of their daughter Suri. Holmes also seeks division of property assets and child support, but makes no mention of the prenup they created under California law before their wedding. According to TMZ, the last time the couple were spotted together was back in February. While Cruise recently made the rounds for his latest movie, "Rock of Ages," Holmes was noticeably absent from the film's multiple premieres. The two were married in 2006 in a castle in Italy, after the birth of daughter Suri. While this is the first marriage for Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise has been married twice before, to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman, with whom he shares two children.
